Our local Veterans continue to serve our community, Country, & Comrades in many ways, including serving dinner! On Saturday, April 9th, 2022, VFW Post 1454 & Auxiliary prepared dinner for the Michigan Army National Guard 1-119th Field Artillery Battalion Battery B at the Alma Armory to show our support, appreciation & thanks for their service. Special thanks to the many Post & Auxiliary volunteers that helped prepare and serve a delicious home-cooked meal to the Troops. Great job! Many Thanks to "Pit Master" Gail Alexander. Delicious BBQ, as always! VFW Post 1454 Commander Vic Simon & Pit Master Gail Alexander "Stationed" at the Grill There are many ways to show your support to our Active Duty Military Personnel. Reach out to your family, friends & community members serving in the military. Cards, letters & care packages from home are simple ways to show appreciation & brighten someone's day. Or contact your local Veteran's organization. Many, including our own Post & Auxiliary, collect care package items to ship to our Troops stationed overseas.
