Please join us in congratulating VFW Post 1454 Member Jeff Humphrey. Jeff was recently honored by Alma Elks Lodge #1400 as their 2018 Veteran of the Year. A well deserved honor, indeed. Watch Jeff's acceptance speech below.

Members of our Post are well aware of Jeff's hard work & dedication to our Veterans and to our Post but Jeff's work on behalf of Veterans doesn't end there. Jeff is also a Member of the Alma Elks Lodge and volunteers his time with Veterans organizations in Florida throughout the winter months.

Jeff, and his wife Kathy, are both dedicated advocates for our Veterans and wonderful assets to our Post. Jeff is a member of our Post's Honor Guard. He is responsible for coordinating our Post's Wreaths Across America participation and the annual golf outing which raises funds to purchase those wreaths.

Jeff spearheaded the recent "home improvement" projects to our Post including painting & new signage on the exterior of our building.  His efforts certainly made our Post's exterior more inviting but it's the work he does within that keeps people coming back for more. Burrito nights, Pizza & Horse Racing parties are just a few of the fun events Jeff created to gather our Members together.

Jeff & Kathy volunteer their time, services & efforts at every possible event. Whether it's marching in a parade, cooking for an event or making pasties, they are always there to lend a hand & make our work FUN!

We are so proud of Jeff for the work he does for our Veterans and our Post. He truly is an inspiration to others. Thank you Jeff Humphrey for your service to our Country and your continued service to your fellow Veterans!
