On May 2, 2021, VFW Post 1454 was honored to participate once again in the dedication of the Michigan Elks Field of Honor at Alma Elks Lodge #1400. The special honorees this year were our Nation's first responders, EMS, doctors, nurses, dispatchers, firefighters & police force. The Field of Honor Ceremony also honors all branches of our Military, Veterans and POW/MIA.
Each year, VFW Post 1454 welcomes the Nozzlemen MC for their Annual Up Day Ride-In & this year was no exception. It was a beautiful day for a ride and the Nozzlemen turned out in full force with over 100 riders!
Our thanks to Club Manager Ellen, Jamie, Diana, Jeanne, Sue, Joe, Nikki, Terry and Steve for all they do to provide a warm welcome to our very special guests.
And a HUGE Thank You To Alma Fire District

Our Post's 1st Annual Corn Hole Competition was a success with many turning out to enjoy the games. Congratulations to our 1st Place Winners Jared & Devin, 2nd Place Winners Alesha & Austin and 3rd Place Winners Darren & Trent. Our thanks to all of our players and those who turned out to cheer them on. Special thanks to our wonderful group of volunteers who make these events possible and to our Club Manager Ellen for always being the best sport of all!
MORE SEPTEMBER EVENTS!
A big thank you to all that participated in the annual golf outing. This year, your generosity and participation brought in enough funds to purchase ALL of the wreaths for our 2020 Wreaths Across America project! Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped along the way. Thank you to the individuals that donated a portion of their winnings. Thank you Jim Ware for the Bazooka Cannon and thanks to the Dave Holton team, Chris Betts Team, Pete Gross, Pat Brennan and Mike Brennan. We hope to see you all next year.
