On July 15th, VFW Post 1454 organized a bus tour to visit the Vietnam Freedom Wall located inside Veterans Park in Belding, Michigan. The Vietnam Freedom Wall contains the names of the 2,654 Michigan soldiers who gave their lives in the Vietnam War including 130 soldiers from our district (District 9) and 17 soldiers from Gratiot County. Veterans Park honors Michigan soldiers of all wars and our country's POW/MIA - You Are Not Forgotten. It was a moving experience for all who participated, one that photos simply cannot convey. We encourage you to visit Veterans Park yourself and support your local Veterans of Foreign Wars. I would like to make a donation to your Belding Freedom Wall in memory of Guy R. Williams, a veteran of 16 years, who passed away in March of 2018. Please send me information on how to do this. thanks, Kathy Lundy
