Wreaths Across America 2017

Our thanks to all who attended the Wreaths Across America event to lay wreaths on every grave in the Veterans Section of Riverside Cemetery in Alma, Michigan. We had a wonderful turnout to honor our fallen comrades. Volunteers adorned each grave with a wreath and read each soldier's name aloud to remember and honor the individual and their sacrifice for all of our freedoms. Once the wreaths were placed, VFW Post 1454's Honor Guard gave a "21 Gun Salute" followed by "Taps." All were invited back to the Post to warm up with soup, sandwiches & dessert provided and served by our Post Auxiliary.

Kid's Christmas Party 2017

Post 1454 also welcomed Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Annual Kid's Christmas Party. A great time was had by all. The party included a visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus, games, crafts, refreshments and of course, presents for all of the kids.
